What are you doing to make your packaging more sustainable?

In 2020, we launched a more sustainable shipping satchel, which means that all orders sent from THE ICONIC Fulfillment Center are now using satchels made of 100% post-consumer plastic waste a.k.a.recycled plastic that has had a previous life and is designed to be recycled again! Our new satchels and their recycled content are certified under GECA’s (Good Environmental Choice Australia) Recycled Product Standard.

Our satchels and transparent garment bags are designed to be recyclable. Since 2019 we've partnered with REDcycle to facilitate soft plastic collection and recycling in Australia. As of November 9th, 2022, REDcycle has had to pause its program but is aiming to have it back up and running as soon as possible. We’re working closely with REDcycle, its partners, and wider stakeholders to identify ways to make positive progress on Australia’s soft plastics recycling challenges.

In the meantime, if you have space you can store soft plastics at home until the program restarts, or investigate whether curbside recycling is available in your area. If neither of these options is available, for the short term, you will, unfortunately, need to put soft plastics in your home rubbish bin. We'll keep you updated as soon as we know more.
